See, I think the performance artist bit is pretty good, John. I fully believe it was a collaboration of sorts between the two artists because of the similarities of their art, both being quite immaterial. They’re kinda preposterous in their own ways but at the same time compelling enough to entertain.
And funny enough, because of the concept of the banana art, the banana being able to be replaced and seemingly being of less importance than the idea itself, the performance artist didn’t harm the piece. It was either staged or Catellan fully expected someone to eat it at some point.
So, yes, your claim of BS is accurate in my opinion.
