Thanks for the breakdown, Darcy! I was wondering what was going on too. Considering that the constitution says all men are created equal, and the first certain unalienable right listed is the right to life, I don’t think it’s an overreach for lynching to be a federal hate crime.
Like you said, leaving it up to the states is a terrible idea. If we lived in a world where everyone did the right thing we wouldn’t need laws about this to begin with.
